Art comes alive [Crusoe] Empty
PostSubject: Art comes alive [Crusoe]   Art comes alive [Crusoe] Icon_minitimeFri 19 Dec - 16:58

The humming came out so naturally as the ink darkened the parchment paper. Little birds of ink and other small animals floated and ran around his feet as his skilled hands kept a steady flow of images birthing on the paper.
It was sunny outside, the breeze was refreshing and he decided to skip combat class. Things have been a little too strange of late, but art had stayed the same. The dog he had drawn lept of the paper and barked happily at his creator, wagging his tail with enthusiasm. The artist smiled at his ink made creature.
The animals, black and see through around him then became alert assomeone approached. The artist didn't notice, or maybe he just didn't care. He started drawing a new image. His concentration only broke when water spilled on the parchment, ruining the lines he had created. The boy looked up at the three men standing in front of him. Tasonosenshi.

"Quit making fake animals! It's an insult to us real ones!"

As per his usual demenor, Luka smiled and stay silent. Though that seemed to anger the beasts more. Their leader grabbed the parchment and through it on the ground. Luka looked at his hobby and kept his smile on. One of them balled his fist and was going to hit Luka, but his dog drawing jumped in and bit the man. Screaming, the beast hit the creature and the beast vanished into a puddle of ink. Dead. A bird flew off to find help, knowing the boy wouldn't not fight.

"Now it's time to see what you are.."

Crusoe was sitting in his office when he heard the faint knocking against his window. Turning his head he saw such a weird bird, black but almost translucent. Faintly in the back of his mind he could remember a student whose drawings could come to life. He was slightly puzzled as to why the bird was at his window or why the pecking against the glass did not cease but as he came closer to the window, looking out onto the front path he understood the birds urgency. Silently Crusoe thought to himself how the image before him seemed to happen daily on campus, did the students realise they were in school? Not apart of some street gang.

Sliding the window open he didn't hesitate for a second, leaping out of the window as if he was on the first level. Landing on the ground he took no time into walking up behind the tasnosenshi.

"what's going on here? Shouldn't you boys be in class?"

He suddenly spoke, his voice calm but seemingly coming out of nowhere for those who didn't see, nor sense his approach. It was lucky for the tasnosenshi that the dark haired nekumonsa had just recently taken one of his breaks, paint still lingered underneath his nails, in the strands of his hair. The smell of oiL paint and turpentine still clung to his pores.

"I know you boys wouldn't be picking on another student, after all bullies in this school seem to always end up...disappearing.."

He warned in such a gentle way that he might not have been taken seriously if it wasn't for his fierce glare. The boys did leave but the dark haired teacher had a feeling they intended to come back as soon as his eyes left the gensono.

"are you alright?"

He asked the young, fair haired boy before him.

Before the animal men could harm the boy, a man stained in oil paint appeared behind them. He frightened them and they walked away. However, the boy knew they would come back to finish what they started.
The man, a teacher, stayed and asked if he was alright. The boy smiled more as he leaned down to pick up his spilled ink and the ripped parchment. The remaining animals of his creation gathered around. The bird who had flown out for help landed on his creator's shoulder and chirped. The artist finally stood up, short compared to the man before him, his equipment under his arm.
Luka didn't have the habit of talking. People thought of him as mute for that very reason. Though sometimes he did speak, only when it was necessary, and sometimes enigmatically. This man came to his aid. This man deserved his thanks.

"I thank you. I will be alright. It's not the first time this has happened. There is too much violence in this world."

Keeping his smile, the boy reached out to grab one of the painted hair strands. This man was an artist as well. He could understand. Art was only as violent as the emotion one puts in. Luka still felt like he should thank this man. He pushed back his hood and stood up on the tip of his toes. The boy's lips pressed against the man's cheek.

"Smile and the world will smile with you. It's also true about violence. However, one can chose violence. I chose to smile."

The boy seemed so calm for someone who had just been in harms way. He didn't seem angry or upset.. 'What a strange boy' Crusoe thought lightly to himself. Though he had to admit he was feeling a little strange himself, for one reason or another a small, brief kiss on the cheek from this little one had had caused the feeling of butterflies flapping around in the pit of his stomach.

"it's alright, it's my job as a teacher to look out for their students"

He smiled softly, his hand lightly resting on the boys head and tasseling his fair hair. Obviously the boy liked art, he probably should have been in class but Crusoe felt no need to reprimand him or tell him to go back to class, instead he offered the boy a safe place to draw.

"Anytime you feel like drawing, no matter if you are skipping another class feel free to come to my classroom, my door will always be open to you. I am the art teacher after all.. But if you like you can just call me Crusoe"

He offered thinking the youngster would probably enjoy the art room as much as he did. It was situated on the bottom floor and with bifold doors instead of windows it let in a lot of light and could easily be opened up to have lessons on the grass, underneath the tree's. His room was full of many colourful and quirky things.

So this man is the art teacher? Such a strange type of magic to be an artist. A necromancer painting? Luka couldn't help to find it funny. However, his amusement was slightly disrupted by a hand placed upon his head. He looked up at the man's face. Long had it been since the last time somebody had touched him so gently. It felt nice to him.
He had been invited to use the art class to his convenience. The boy smiled more and took the man's hand off his head. He held it in his soft hand, his face was thanking the teacher once more. It felt nice to know that kind hearted men still existed.
Knowing that he was still not safe, Luka kept the teacher's hand in his and slowly started going towards the art class. He was curious to see what the teacher had been painting. Well, maybe he had work in the class or maybe not. They made it to the class and Luka finally let go of the teacher's hand. The class breathed art. The boy could see himself drawing here anytime.
The boy put his equipment on a small table and walked over to a wall where some drawings and paintings were hanging. They have been there for not too long, but they were all dry. Luka slowly passed his fingers on some of the art. It was beautiful, but it seemed lonely. The boy turned around and looked at the teacher. The man had been looking at him. The boy grabbed his parchment and his ink, he drew quickly and soon a bird peeled off the paper and flew around Luka before going towards the teacher and landing on his shoulder.

"Art is there for those who are lonely. However, for when it is not enough, I...could be there..."

Luka blushed lightly at his own words. He looked down and smiled shyly.

Crusoe found that there was something undeniably cute about the boy. Even as they walked to the art room in silence, his soft palm was still clenched around his own. Of course the piece of art he had been painting wasn't within the room, the art he created in those moments he needed to release the darkness with were full of chaos, death, destruction. The sort of things he didn't want to look at and so after they were painted he normally just tucked them away, out of eyesight.

Crusoe's eyes were drawn to the boy, he hadn't even realised that he had indeed been staring. It was one of those pieces he had chosen to paint, not one for necessity. The nekumonsa hadn't even realised himself that the loneliness had been so visible.

He looked at the bird with a curious smil before turning back towards the other, who, of ot was even possible, looked cuter with that dash of red playing across his cheeks. Cursoe could feel such a warmth in his heart of the student's kindness but sometimes people were better off alone so they didn't hurt other.. His loneliness was a necessity.

"little one.. It's such a kind offer and this room and I will always be here for you but.. That void you can see in me mustn't be filled... I much more of a monster than those boys.. Much more of a monster than you can imagine"

He was silent a moment before approaching the other and once again he gentle touched the top of his head.

"feel free to use any paper, pencils, ink, paint..any art supplies in this room"

The boy saw the pain in the teacher's eyes. Such sadness should not exist in a heart. Every heart beats for something, but never to be alone. This man, Luka knew, was afraid of what he had once been. The artist could not only see it, he could taste it. Art was a good way of expressing things that people didn't even know they felt. The boy knew. That was all.
With a soft smile, he walked back to the teacher and grabbed one of his hands. He brought it to his own chest and placed it over his heart. Luka then placed one of his small hands on the teacher's chest. Over his heart. The steady beating of both hearts made a nice rhythm that soothed Luka, much to his surprise.

"Darkness can rule a lonely heart. But given light, the heart will be stronger. It is your choice to be ruled by darkness or to rule over it. My offer remains, Sensei. Nobody should always be alone."

Luka looked down and lost his smile for a moment. He had been too different from his own and so he had always been alone. Of course his artistic creations helped to ease that pain, but the warmth of another living being could not be compared. Art was good to fill the void temporarily, but when even that couldn't help, feeling someone there did.
Noticing his lack of smile, Luka looked back up to the teacher with a forced yet believable smile. Then he stepped closer and closed his eyes. The man's heart beat strongly compared to his frail and fragile heart. The boy was no fighter, nor was he athletic. His heart was much weaker than this man's. After some time, Luka pulled off the veil that he used as a hood and revealed his long white hair completely. He folded the veil and placed it on one of the tables. He had not dropped his hand from the man's heart, the strong pulsations were easing his lonely heart. He looked up to his teacher.

"Sometimes, even art can't heal the heart. Sensei, this might not mean much, I am here for you."
